Spring Break on a Dime

Living in the DC metroplex definetly has its advantages, but one of the main things is that almost any activity is free. The kids are on spring break so we've started filling our time up with places to go to and see.

Day One: Easter Egg Hunt at the Church

Day Two: Marine Corp Museum

Unfortunately, I forgot my camera, but this is actually an excellent museum. We've lived 5 miles from it for the last 4 years, and we had never visited. We will definetly be going back.

Day Three: Prince William Forest National Park.

Our neighborhood sits right outside PWF national park. It's extremely beautiful this time of year. We took the kids to a campground and let them ride their skooters and bikes. The next trip there will be for an overnight campout.

Day Four: A trip into the city.

We visited the national aquarium, walked up 14th street to our favorite yogurt shop, a visit Mike at his office and then a stop at our favorite park.

Day Five: Outdoor adventure and in door fun.

Today we headed to Leesylvania State Park. It's a beautiful place that sits right on the Potomac river; however, it was a bit chilly so we didn't end up staying as long as we planned. After the park, we headed to the mall and then home to color Easter Eggs.

Looks like you had a really great time. You look really good! You are right sometimes a city does have an avantage to the good old country.
