Living in the DC Metro Plex has so many fabulous advantages. On Friday Mike had a work party. The plan was to take a bus to Annapolis, MD board a boat and travel two hours across Chesapeak Bay to St. Michaels Island (If you have ever seen the movie Wedding Crashers...this is the island where the Senators Daughters wedding was held). St. Michael's Island is sort-of the 'Hamptons' of the DC area. Mike's boss has a weekend home there as well as other people like Donald Rumsfeld & Dick Chinney. We also got to see the following:
* Annapolis, MD home to the US Naval Academy
* Navy-Marine Field...for all the football fans out there
* The Naval Academy
* Chesapeak Bay
Once on St. Michael's we had the best blue-crab boil and got to tour the little town. After lunch we headed straight to Justines for ice cream. Yummmm!! St. Michael's reminded me of Uptown NOLA.
My sister Leanne flew in, so we could get away. Thanks Leanne!!!!!
